     Sandblasted tile is as versatile as tile itself. It can be used for vertical applications as well as horizontal ones. The surface of a smooth glazed tile can be lightly frosted, or the glaze can be entirely blasted off to expose the clay underneath. The effect is also determined by the tile glaze, and the backing it is on. Smooth glazes work best. The tile must be ceramic.
     Tiles can be treated individually and interspersed with other plain tiles or a whole scene can be blasted over many tiles like a puzzle.
